About Cheryl Farrell: In Her Words

Welcome to Bay Heart Music®! I am a singer and songwriter of inspirational and faith-based music. Raised in the gospel tradition, I offer musical messages of hope. My motto, “I can sing Motown to the Messiah.” In professional settings, I’ve performed at historic venues such as the original Motown recording studios, several Broadway stages, Harlem’s Apollo Theater, the pulpit of Ebenezer Baptist Church, and on the Jeopardy! quiz show.

I write songs that support a cause, offer inspiration, and celebrate life. The combined words “bay” and “heart” represent the give and take of water in a coastal inlet as a model for caring for others … from the heart. I invite you to give and receive comfort by sending Bay Heart Music® cards. Select an original birthday song or cheer a loved one on other occasions.

Thank you.

Bay Heart Music® greeting cards were inspired by my cover of “Promise To Remember Me” as a single CD in 2004. The ballad is an anthem to benefit children who live with type 1 diabetes, written by award-winning composers Alan Silvestri and Stephan Schwartz. The song is a compelling call on behalf of child advocates who ask lawmakers to appropriate funds for diabetes research. Proceeds from the sale of the “Remember” greeting card go to Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) to support diabetes research.
